Won driving; second and third the same. Addax, away badly and showing much the most speed, set a stiff pace from the start and, runnlrig gamely, won all the way with plenty In reserve. Albert Fanz, away slowly, moved up resolutely throughout and was gaining on the winner at the end. Enlist, a sharp factor in the early stages, bore out badly in lie stretch run and then swerved near the end to the inner rail. Ardis tired fast after going a good half and bad no mishaps. Judge Trcen was restrained in the early stages, but moved up fast in the stretch and finished with a rush, l ittle George raced Sain Clay Into submission in the first half and appeared the winner, but weakened in the last sixteenth. Jim Simpson, away in a tangle, finished going fast and would liavc been second, in n few more strides. No Quarter was in a jam in the. early stages and ran a good race. Belle, of Penzance was taken wide most of the way and can do better. Lamptrimmer was sore going to the post, but ran fairly well. Sam Clay tired almost to a walk and swerved all over the track. Ansonia showed speed, hut. tired badly in the final drive and should have been much closer up at the finish." The latter suffered from interference in the first quarter, but saved much ground at the stretch head and, finishing gamely, was right there at the end. Hannibal Bey was a sharp factor throughout and showed improving form. Belie Scott, badly outpaced in the early stages, came fast in the last quarter. Usury, after running a fast half, quit badly. Marsailles ran a good race and finished fast and gamely. Roger S., badly outpaced in the early stages and poorly ridden, closed a big gap in the stretch and was right there at the end. Moccasin Maid bad no mishaps and ran poorly. Prince Silvcrwings showed the most speed for a mile and tired badly. The others had no mishaps and were outclassed. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Won driving; second and third the same. Ouardi, poorly ridden and taken, all over the track in restraining tactics, was much the best, but scored a lucky victory. Trenola was a forward contender from the start and held on well in the final drive. County Clerk moved up gamely after going a half and, taking the lead in the stretch, stood; the final drive gamely and appeared to be a good head in advance of Trenola. Doubt was gaining at the end, but only ran a fairly good race, neadley ran a good mile before tiring. Monochord led in the earb stages on sufferance Scratched 70999 Scalplock, 107; 70999 Paul, 104. Overweights Monochord. 21 pounds.
