CACTUS II. BEING TRAINED TO RACE. Ed Corrigans English Sprinter May Compete at New Orleans. The stallion, Cactus II., is in training at Ed orrigans farm near Lexington. Kv and will be I raced at New Orleans the coming winter. Tlie old horse has been used at the farm as a stallion for several years, ami his progeny are as fast and good looking as he is. Cactus II. is nine vears old by Angelo Prickly Pear, and raced for General Randolph as a two and three-year-old in England. Ills legs were never good, but he was wonderfullv fast. - and took Corrigans fancy while he was racing there in 1901. At Kempton Park An-ust i:., that year. Cactus II. won the Feltham Selling 1 la e at three-quarters or a mile, and Corrigan bought him out or it for ,350. It was a verv fast race.
