Balhmaria dashed into a long lead In the lirst furlong, was well in hand for the entire trip and had her opponents soundly beaten when entering the homestretch. Grace Kimball, easily best of the others, was hard ridden on the turn into the homestretch, but was unable to improve her lxisition. Pentagon was much used in following the leaders and tired in the last furlong. Frank Collins, off poorly, inn a had raca and can do better. The winner was entered for 1907.sh00; no hid. Dayman had ids opponents beaten off until at the last jump, where his hind legs slipped from under him. after he landed and lie fell, on his side, was then remounted and finished second. Dr. Koch, a poor fencer, trailed along in the rear all the way and was a distant third. Sam Parmer fell at the ninth jump.... Mrry George, bolted through the wing at the second jump, but went aloug with the others until at the ninth Jump, vrtiere lie fell. The Chef bolted through the wing at the fifth and sixth jumps and Ralph Reese ran out of the course at the first. The winner was entered for 00: no bid. Charlie Gilbert broke slowly and was outrun for the first half, then wore his opponents down on the far turn, came through next to the rail after entering the homestretch and, finishing resolutely under punishment, out-gamed Platoon at the end. The going suited Platoon and he set a fast pace for six furlongs, then tired, but held on gamely. Avaunteer closed up again in the last sixteenth after tiring and losing ground. Stylit broke slowly, but moved up fast on the backstretch and then tired suddenly while rounding the far turn. The others were beaten off. Overweights C. II. Delaby avoided the early pace with Lexington Lady, dropped in behind the leaders and delayed making his run until entering the homestretch, where lie rushed her through next to the rail, closed Mcndiiy and Avas easing up at the end. Green Dale was on the outside of the leader all the way and iozt ground when entering the stretch, where he was carried wide by Awless. The latter dashed to the front when the start came and was used up in forcing the pace. She was tiring in the last sixteeuth. Donald T. closed stoutly under the whip. Harmakis moved up fast on the turn into the homestretch, where he cauglit and passed the leaders, then r.iced it out with Rebounder all of the last furlong and proved the gamest in the final drive. Rebouuder ran on the inside all the way and saved ground on all the turns after being crowded back on the first i urn and ran a good race. Ormondes Right went wide on every turn, came fast on the outside on the far turn, but quit in the last furlong. The winner was entered for 500; no bid.
