END OF THE WINDSOR MEETING. Detroit, Mich., Octolier 19. Today was getaway day at Windsor. It marked the close -of the racing season in these parts for 1907 and a large crowd took advantage of the fact to witness the sport. Largo fields went to the post in a majority of the events and the finishes in four of them were of the driving order. Just half of thoso carded in the feature race, the Belle Isle Handicap, were scratched. The winner turned up in Cooney K., which showed keen speed at all stages and won in a canter after making most of his own pace. The Valley Farm Stable looked to hold a powerful hand in Denhain, Charlie Gilbert and Glimmer, but scratched all three and rumor had it that there was some little dissatisfaction over the weights which the handlcapper had allotted them. Edward Trotter again furnished two of the winners in Willis Green and Bather Boyal, both of which were ridden by the stable jockey, More-land. Willis Green was favorite in the betting, while Bather Boyal was the best liked outside of Bestoration in his race. Emergency was supposed to be a good thing in the opening event, rumor having it that Ben Evans contemplated winning both the first race and the stake with .this horse. Coupled with Florentine, as an entry, the Evans pair was heavily played, but when it came to the running neither oue of them cut any figure. Klein, who had the mount on Emergency, put up a weak ride and, cntcriug the homestretch, elected to take his mount very wide and lost two or three lengths by this move. Kleins ride was unsatisfactory Ho the officials and he was called into the stand after the race for ah explanation. NibUck, the winner, forced a terrific pace all tho way and won cased up at the finish from Showman. Tho steeplechase furnished a Senear tlonal finish between The Chef and Dacra, in which the former won by a matter of inches. In the sixth Tace the favorite, Andalusia, closed y with a great stretch run and beat out Somhrita,
