Great Scot is the best son of Lochiel, and his dam is Scotch Mary, by Clan Stewart sire of Georgie, winner of the Prince Edward Handicap and the Cambridgeshire In 1S9S, another Prince Charlie horse, so that We get very close inbreeding to the most successful development of Blair Athol Mood. In color, temper and general characteristics Great Scot is a true Blair Athol, and it would he impossible to find a sounder-horse or onewith better constitution. There was reason to fear that the Blair Athol line was going to be lost to this country, hut this stalwart representative of it will soon make good his liosition."
