NEW YORK RACING OF THE WEEK. J With racing over the greater New York tracks finished for the year, the scene of sport shifts from Belmont Park to Jamaica. Here racing Will con- tiiiue for eleven days, and then the Aqueduct meeting will bring nietropolitan "racing to an end 1 for 1907. The Jamaica meeting opens tomorrow 1 with a card of six Rices, of which the Pierrcpont 1 Handicap is the stake feature. The names of the 1 probable starters are printed in the entry lists published today. The Gowanus Stakes for three-year-olds and over will be run Tuesday. It is a selling dash of three-quarters of a mile, -with such fast ones as Tom McGrath, Security, Jacobite, Lady Anne, Momentum, Oraculum, Lotus, Don Enrique, Saraclnesca, Troublemaker, Druid, Saylor and York-1st among its entries. The stake race for Wcdnes- j day afternoon is the Southampton Handicap for three-yenr-olds at a mile and a sixteenth. Ballot, Frank Gill, McCarter, Temaceo, Faust, Yankee Girl, Tonrenne, Zambesi, Tileing, Don Enrique, Main-chance, Saraclnesca, Killaloe, Perseverance, Sea Wolf and Monfort are conspicuous among the nominations, and a cracking good finish may mark the decision of the race. The Hempstead Stakes is set for decision Thursday. It is a selling dash of three-quarters of a mile for tyo-year-olds and presents the names of such useful youngsters as Spooner, Master Robert, Big Chief, Frlzette, The Squire, Masks and Faces, Running Account, Number One, Chulila, King Cobalt, Blue Heron. Goldquest, Arasee, Wave Crest, and James B. Brady. Friday lias the Garden City Stakes at a mile and a sixteenth for, three-year-olds and over under selling conditions. Among its entries are Bad News, Juggler, Temaceo, Grapple, Tileing, Saylor, Lancastrian, Sir Toddinglon, Chief Hayes, Smiling Tom, Hon Enrique, Rye, Go Between; Dolly Spanker, Lyndhurst, Vino and Belle of Pequest. Two stakes will be run off Saturday, the Lynbrook Handicap at three-quarters for two-year-olds and the Southold Handicap for all ages, at a mile and a sixteenth. In the Lynnbrook arc such good ones as Spooner, Boyal Tourist, Fal-cada, Adriana, Master Robert, Half Sovereign, Nimbus, Live Wire, Dorante, Lady Winifred, nalket, Rialto, Frlzette, Restigouche, Chulita, Running Account, Big Chief and Seymour Beutler. The Southold has such cracks as Ballot, Nealon, Charles Edward, McCarter, Glorifier, Tileing, Bedouin, Far West, Martin Doyle, Rye, Dolly Spanker, Brook-dale Nymph, Ironsides, Running Account, Cairngorm, Welbourne, Cressina, Dorante, Tourenne, Master Robert, Temaceo and Kentucky Beau in its promising list of entries.
