OAKLAND STAKES FILL WELL. San Francisco, Cal.. November 5. Entries to the twenty-one stakes of the California Jockey Club meeting were announced last night. Many eastern horses are entered. While nominations in several of the stakes are not as numerous as last year, the class is better. Owing to additional stakes the aggregate, however. Is 300 more than last season. The Buns Handicap has 118 entries. The California Derby has almost 100 nominations, among the number some of the present good two-year-olds of the ens. The new stakes filled satisfactorily. The track is In line condition at present and prospects are bright for a successful meeting. There is .some anxiety, however, as to whether the stringency in the money market will affect the betting.
