Ace High ran a good race, was always in closest pursuit and was a fast going and game second. Hooray, oIT none too well, made up ground steadily and finished witli a rush. Robin Hood ran well, but could not improve his position. Saddler came from far back in the stretch. Gauibrinus showed early sliced, but quit badly. The winner was entered for ,700; no bid. Ballot ran under restraint in close attendance on the early pacemakers to the head of the stretch, then moved into a slight lead and gamely kept it to the end of a grand race. Brookdale Nymph raced in close pursuit of McCarter and finally wore him down, but could not quite withstand the winners challenge. McCarter showed superior early speed and sot a hot pace for a mile, but tired in the final drive. Bedouin ran a cracking race and was a fast going and close up fourth. Gold Lady and Martin Doyle tired. Iron sides ran poorly for him.
