Won easily: second and third the same. Listerine trailed far back in the early running, but moved up rapidly on the last turn and, in a long drive, finally got up in the stretch and won drawing out. Giles, off none too well, showed a high flight of speed and went to the front in the first quarter and set the pace to the linal sixteenth, but tired at the end. Polar Star ran well and held third place safe throughout. Omnipotent ran moderately well only. Eonite ran a bail race and ran do much better. Cartwheel showed early speed. Lotus Rater followed Berkeley closely to the stretch, but his weight finally told in the going and he tired badly.
