FOREIGNERS GET ENGLISH HORSES. An American Bred Mare Brings Top Price at the December Sales. London, December 7. The annual sales of thoroughbreds closed at Newmarket yesterday. Prices were no more than fair. The only disquieting feature of the sales is the extraordinary determination shown by the foreigners in the purchase of our best mares. The French have secured another stallion In Gin-gal, a bay four-year-old horse by Carbine, out of Pindi dam of the speedy Bass Rock, and he will stand next year at the De La Chapelle Stud, owned by the Countess de Chenelette.
