IUter Sir began quickly, drew into the lead and, keeping It throughout, held the race safe all the way. Sylvia G., off forwardly and a prominent contender from the start, was forced to stand a drive through the last quarter to hold second place. Caucus closed a gap and finished fast and gamely, but swerving badly. Task Master broke slowly on the outside and, after being carried wide at all turns, finished close up. Silver Cup closed a big gap. Brimmer quit in the last eighth. Hon-ta was well up until in the last eighth. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Overweights Sylvia G., 41 pounds; Benrose, 4. Financier broke witli the leaders, went to the front in the first sixteenth and, after strenuous racing witli Tea Leaf on the far turn, drew away in the stretch and won caseil up. Sabado came fast when straightened out in the homestretch, but was under a bard drive at the end to stall off Pedigree. The latter ran on the outside for the entire trip and finished with a great burst of speed through the last sixteenth. Tea Leaf showed early speed, but tired as if short. Divorcee was outrun all the way, but finished well. Osmunda was bumped into at the eighth post and forced back. Sainesaw closed a big gap. Dainty Belle, easily best, was taken back on the far turn and was pinched oft when she attempted to come through on the inside at the furlong post, then came to the outside and, finishing with a rush, won drawing out. Gambrinus was speedy and ran a good race, hut was made entirely too much use of in paccmaking and tired iu the last furlong. Debar moved up fast on the far turn, but tfred in the stretch rim and was probably a bit short. Asteroid closed a big gap and almost got up for third place. Meadow-breeze finished gamely and close up. Jack Dolan loomed up at the head of the stretch, but tired as if short. Hancock and Snow Bali showed speed. St. Ilario dashed into a long lead on the first turn and set a fast pace for six furlongs, then tired, but held on resolutely. Lajeunesse, on the outside at post, ran close up and made a good effort on the turn Into the homestretch, but quit under punishment In the stretch. Blue Lee showd speed, but tired. Haw-iwina, easily best, was crowded back soon after the start in the dash for positions and was forced to go to the outside, went around the leaders with a rush and, after a sharp drive with Glen Roy, drew away into an easy lead in the last furlong.. El Dorado, outrun in the early stages, went to the outside when entering the homestretch and came on with a great burst of speed. Denigre, interfered with on the back-stretch, made up ground in the last quarter. Lucy Young and Clara Huron ran well and finished gamely. Royal Onyx ran poorly. Tres Joll was going to the leaders with a rush on the turn out of the back-stretch, where he was sharply cut off and forced to pull up. This caused a jam and Black Mantilla stumbled and unseated Powers. The winner was entered for ,800; no bid. Fonsoluca was a- prominent contender for seven furlongs, then tired. Gauze showed a burst of speed and quit. Belleview ran well and was on the outside of th6 leaders all the way. Etta M. and J. D. Dunn finished close up. Peter Nathaniel showed the most early speed, but failed to stay. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Scratched 72277 Gold Circle, 100. Overweights Anna Day, li pounds; J.
