RUBICON RESPONDS TO TREATMENT. Oakland, Cal., December 19. Veterinary surgeon John Hickey, who was sent to Brentwood Stock-Farm, to treat the sire, Rubicon, has returned and reports the horse to be now safely on the road to recovery. Rubicon is a sixteen-year-old chestnut horse by Rayon dOr Lilly It., by Glenelg, and is owned by Edward Lanlgan, a San Francisco politician of note. The best of the twenty horses Rubicon has sent to the races since his retirement to the stud are Gemmell, St. Francis, Captain Burnett, Bogohania, John H. Sheehan and Chief Witt-man.
