WILLIAMS DESIRES TO SUCCEED ROGERS. Lexington. Ky.. February 26.— Captain Jim Williams, of Spring Station, the well known horse- man and trainer of Luke Blackburn. Rams Horn and other noted performers dt the turf, has made telegraphic application to Harry Payne Whitney for the position as trainer to succeed John W. Rogers, who died at Aiken, S. C, yesterday.
