Ray Bennett, from a good start, was reserved in close pursuit of Titus II. in the middle running and drew out and won* off in the stretch. Titus II. set the pace for a half mile, then tired, just saving second I lace. Frolic, from an inside slow start, steadily improved his position into a fast going third. Banna-lyne ran forwardly throughout. Cascade of Diamonds is improving and was gaining at the end. Deneen. i eirly left, closed a big gap. Governor Orman again failed to stay. Lord of the Heath made a moderate showing. The winner, entered for 00, was bid up to ,000 and liought by G. P. McNeil. Wap, away poorly. established himself in quick forward contention and, after a wide stretcli turn, finished fast. James A. Murray made the running to midway of the stretch and quit badly. J. W. ONeill closed a big gap from Door start. Dick Wilson was shuffled back repeatedly. E. M. Brattain was short and showed superior early speed. Mitre, nearly left, closed a big gap. Miss Killie, showing marvelous improvement, trailed for the first mile, then rapidly picked up the others one by one and drew out finally and decisively after a long stretch drive. Kogo. always close up under reserve, drew out prematurely at the half and led to the last sixteenth, then succumbed. Ben vol io forced the early pace to the half and was shuffled back, but came again with a cyclonic stretcli rush and ran a grand race. Fairystreet made the running alternately with Graphite for a mile" and a half and held on very gamely after being headed. Graphite ran as if stale, showed speed, but failed to stay. Ramus, not j-ikhI today, was choked slightly in placing him for the first mile, but tired badly and was beaten when beginning the last six furlongs. Light Wool, from a flying start, stole a big advantage on the first turn and led by a wide gap to the final sixteenth, where he tired, just lasting the journey under vigorous and alert urging. Fantastic, from slow start on the extreme outside, soon got into striking distance pursuit, then dropped back and went wide at a critical moment on tlie stretch turn and came with a phenomenal, but belated, stretch rush under a very bad ride. Cloyne maintained nearest pursuit of the winner to the last sixteenth and tired. Kruka was well up throughout. Red Leaf, hopelessly outpaced in the early running., closed up like a whirlwind in the last quarter. Logistilla made up fifteen lengths in the last half and is extra good. Standover broke slowly and established quick forward pursuit of the pacemakers, but went wide in the stretch and -succumbed in the closing drive. Arcourt. luckily and forwardly placed throughout, tin well and was a game tnird. Funny Side drew out quickly and set the pace to the last tnru. but tired in the closing drive. Mabel H-»Jander. virtually left, closed an immense gap. Tonic showed early sp;-ed. Meada is a mudlark. The winaep. entered for 00. was bid up to ,100 and liought in. The Mist, away slowly and shuffled buck, closed up fust at the half, but was curried hopelessly wide ou the stretch turn by Burleigh and failed to get up afterwards. Burleigb broke- slowly and Improved Ms position rapidly in the last half, bnt went to the outside fence on the turn and took The Mist with him, spoiling the chances of both.
