Won easily; second and third driving. Serenade, away fast and clear of interference, showed much the most speed and won all the way. Sister Ollie, running in improved form and favored by a eiear course, closed a gap and outstayed Alamia in the closing drive. The latter was always prominent and finished gamely. Yoseka ran fairly well. Miss Imogene showed early s| eed and tired in the stretch. May Lee suffered by being crowded on the turn and can do better. Salnward showed a brief Hash of speed, but bore out and was eased up. Miss Haps-hurg had scant chance with her timid rider, who pulled her up sharply when it appeared he would be crowded. Dr. Logan was restrained through the first turn of the field, then moved up fast when Sam Hoffheinier Mundered and held the others safe In the closing drive. Gold Circle was prominent nearly all the way and ran a good race. Bank Holiday, much the best, was kept too far back early, then closed an immense pan and should have won on*. Sam Hoffheimer blundered badly after showing much speed over the first eight jumps. Linda le quit badly near the end, but ran in improved form. Pete Vinegar came from a long way back in the last half. Captain Jarrel tired badly. Ilndur moved up fast on the stretch turn and, after a mild shaking up, got his head in front in the last sixteenth. Sulfiee soon ran into a good lead, set the pace fast and stayed gamely in the final drive. Dapple Gold, shuffled back soon after the start, closed a big gap after saving much ground when turning into the stretch and might have won with a clear course. Rappahannock ran well. Sam Rice, poorly ridden and kept far back early, came with a rush through the stretch and would have been third in a few more strides. Lord Dixon ran a bad race. Braden and Etrena showed speed, but quit in the stretch. Charley Ward ran poorly. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Scratched— 73375 Gild. 99; 73332 Tyrolian, 100; 73202 Sister Polly, 102. John Carroll began slowly and was a distant trailer to the stretch turn, where he saved much ground and. finishing with a rush, got up in the closing strides for second place. Cooney K. ran forwardly throughout, but tired in the last furlong and was lucky to be third. Angelus, away on the outside in a tangle and taken extremely wide all the way. ran a good race and may have been unlucky to lose. J. C. Core had no mishaps. The Bear ran badly under a weak rider. Green Seal showed early speed, but tired badly after going a half. Goldproof quit in the stretch. Royal Mnvx suffered from interference and came last in the stretch, but swerving to the inner rail. Hawkama was in a tangle from the start, but moved up fast In the stretch. Posing, taken wide in the first half, moved up with a rush in the stretch, but tired from her early effort. Bertha E. tired, but finished gamely. Ace High showed the most speed for three-quarters and then tired badly. Dr. McCIuer ran a bad race and can do much better. The winner was entered for ,400; no bid.
