HENNESSY IS A SENSIBLE JOCKEY. New Orleans, La.. March 3.— Jockey James Hen-nessy has secured his release from Burlew and ONeill and will continue to ride here as a free lance. Ilennessy liocame dissatisfied early last fall because his employers were giving R. McDaniel almost all the mounts from the stable. Hen-BMBJ has saved up nearly all his earnings, the most of which he accumulated since going to the Burlew and ONeill stable two years ago. when Bnrlew purchased his contract from J. Phillips. The little fellow has purchased a stock ranch mjar Dallas. Texas, with his savings. The ranch contains 480 acres and the young man intends to devote all his time to it* development after next year, when he expects to retire from the saddle.
