PLEA TO NEW YORK FROM TEXAS. Dallas. Texas. March .1. — The board of directors of the Texas Thoroughbred Association in session here last night drafted an appeal addressed to the New York legislature, which was sent by wire to Albany. The text of the communication is as follows: •Dallas. Texas, March 2. 1008. "To the Senate and Assembly of the State of New York — We, the Texas Thoroughbred Breeders Association, resi ectfully petition that no law be passed affecting the Percy-Gray law as it now stands, as many Tex.ms visit New York and contribute very largely tinanuially to the thoroughbred nee] carried on in New York, and also s 11 many thoroughbred horses raised in Texas to the people of New York, and any law tending in any way to defeat the enterprise of racing will greatly deteriorate the contribution from Texas to said enterprise and materially affect the breeding and raising of race horses in Texas.
