The judges investigation of the ride McDaniel gave Alma Dufour last Saturday resulted in their announc inent that they had suspended tl;e rider for three days for having disregarded riding instructions. Aside from the al ove incidents, the disqualification of Aunt. Kosc in lie sixth race was the iirincl-pal happening of todays racing. The Dunne filly was favorite and clearly the bent, but in the stretch, when fighting it out with the principal contenders, she unexi ectedly swerved and ini| eded Ranrida, Arrow Swift and Druid, for which she was disqualified. Arrow Swift being awarded first place and Druid and Banrida the other portions of the purse. Lexington Lady, a long-shot, furnished the sur-.. prise in -a betting way. winning the second in commanding style from Bewitched. Financier, under V. Bowers, ran in surprisingly improved form from that shown when he was piloted by jockey Skirvin and hail slight difficulty in beating out the much-interfereil-with Bustle. After All was liest of a i oor band of maiden filly youngsters that started in the opening race and won from Miss Imogene. i.ilpin and Creel fought it out hard in the closing race, the former gaining the purse through Nicols inability to ride a strong finish. Quadrille, at a short price, beat Miss Sain and other useful sprinters in the fourth. Track superintendent Billy Myers received a telegram today from S. C. llildretb that he had shipped Meelick and he would arrive h -re Thursday. His presence will add greatly to the local Derbys. Pink-ola. W. 11. Fizers candidate, again worked a preliminary mile at City Iark this morning in less than 1:41. Jockey E. Walsh was suspended for four days by the starter for disoliedience at the post. C. T. Browntield has had the firing irons applied to Apache and Hammock Boy. and they will not l v started again on the local tracks. The eastern system of betting was still in use and despite the clamor for a rpfurn to the big elates, the style now in vogue will be continued.
