DAVID WALDO KILLED IN ACCIDENT. A dispatch from Kansas City announces that David Waldo was killed in a runaway accident near Independence. Mo.. Saturday night. His Itody was found in the load near a wrecked buggy from which he had been thrown. It was not many years back that Dave Waldo was thoroughly well known In Chi ago. He was Edward Corrigan1!- partner in conducting racing over the aid west side track, afterwards more noted as Garfield Iark. He owned quite a numlier of useful race horses from time to time and was fairly successful aa the turf. Be brought out Sam Doggett and finally made him one of the beat jockeys of his time. In connection with Tom Hums he also gave T. Burns his first lessons iu riding in races. Later on his two sons. Jed and Willie, became jockeys of more than ordinary excellence. Waldo was a well educated man. very partial and helpful to those he considered his friends, and his shocking death will be widely deplored.
