ILLINOIS HORSES DEPART FOR WASHINGTON. Memphis. Tenn., March 14.— The first consignment of thoroughbred racers from this section for eastern tracks left the local training grounds at Montgomery Park today when the string owned by J. L. Besom of Champaign. 111., was shipped to Washington. 1. C. Trainer Hennessy shipped nine head, including two-year-olds and the older horse. Moonlight Murphy. Other owners are waiting for developments in New York state. Jockey Hogg will do the riding for Besom.
