HORSES HUGHES BROS. WILL CAMPAIGN. Lexington. Ky., March 17. — The stable to be raced by Hughes Bros. — Tandy. Sydney. Robert and I Orover — this year embraces ten horses. They are now at the Kentucky Association track and Tandy is doing the training, though Grover will probably take charge of the stable when the racing season opens. The plan is to race at the Kentucky meetings and then go east, as they did last year. The I older horses are Barnsdale, Skyo, Black Water. Malmaison and Beth Gof»dwin. Willi the exception of Black Water, a four-year-old filly by Sandring-ham — Branch. whi -h started twice as a two-year-old, went lame and was turned out all of last year, these are winners. Skyo, which was not unplaced 1 in any of her eleven races last year, is the pride of the barn. She is a candidate for the Latonia i Oaks and is . ligihle to two or three stakes at Louisville, as well as some at Yonkers and Buffalo. The five two year-olds in the stable are: Ball Hazard, blk. c. by Hermciice— Tildce. Dounez Moi, b. f. by Grcenan — I.a Muj T. Elko, b. c, by Horatio — Actual. MalK, b. c. by Box — Mavis. Willow Plume, eh. f. by Sombrero — Crisis II. These five were reserved out of twenty-six yearlings liougbt by the brothers last fall. The others were sold off after their trials, s veral of them to lMllard Hill and others which raced at Tampa and 1 are now in Cuba. Willow Plume is considered best of the five. She worked a quarter last fall in 23? with 120 pounds up. Donnez Moi, carrying the same boy, ran a quarter in 23?. Mabo worked an eighth ■ in lit. The other two colts ran quarters in 24, seconds.
