Boas, from a flying start, was reserved hi close pursuit of Abbey, then drew out midway of the stretch and scored a lucky win. Dareington, a slow beginner and away poorly, closed a big gap into a fast going second. Wap, from an Inside slow start, ran In close quarters to the stretch, went wide and finished with a belated rush. Abbey set a stiff pace for five furlongs, then succumbed In a game finish. Adena steadily improved her position and made a fast finish. Bannock Bob, prominent early, was carried hopelessly out on the last turn and could never get up. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Won easily; second and third driving, tollice was a sixteenth of a mile in front of the barrier when the field was sent away. Pomare drew out quickly and spreadeagled her opponents. Ocean Queen, away slowly, closed up steadily Into a rushing second in a cracking effort. Yolo ran well up throughout and was a game third. Colllces race is not worth considering, as she bad a sixteenth of a mile the best of the others and only cantered the journey. Right Easy, nearly left, closed an immense gap. Cavallena had no chance, but made up ground. Most of the others were pulling up. After consultation it was declared no race. Overweights — Yolo, 2 pounds. Cook made the running for six furlongs and gave way readily to the winner, but held on unexpectedly well for second place. Kruka, badly outpaced in the early running, closed a big gap quickly and unexpectedly quit in the stretch. Bolouian, well up through-| ont, was outclassed here. Import, after being reserved for the first half within striking distance, ran around on the out- side on the stretch turn and drew out like the winner, but was finally bumped into defeat by Johnny Lyons. Fantastic, close up in the early running, loomed up on the last turn and quit unexpectedly. Grace G., seemingly outrun early, finished well. Rather Royal set a sizzling pace for six furlongs, but failed to stay. Alsatian requires vigorous handling, is a long distance horse and was outsprinted in the last quarter. I Told You got away poorly and finished well. Senator Warner threatened early to spread-c agie the others, but quit. The winner was entered for 00; no bid.
