Blondy. from a bad start, steadily improved his position. Native Son, after prominent contention for five furlongs, tired palpably and was short. Confederate drew out on the backstretch and set the pace to the last two strides. Cardinal Sarto ran in prominent contention for seven furlongs. Captain Bush, away flatfooted and quickly shuffled to the rear, made up considerable ground. Altair finished well up. Warden Yell, away poorly, closed a gap. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Carthaginian had a rough journey throughout and was in close quarters at the end of a fast finish. St. Senicus was a forward aud game contender all the way. Be Thankful had a bad start and rough journey and wtts oenrely pocketed In the last sixteenth. Mitre and Vinton both lacked respectable speed. Silva and Oromoboi had no chance at the start.
