F.onite forced a sharp pace throughout, but was interfering with and bore over on Aquiline in the final three-sixteenths, for which he was disqualified. Aquiline being placed first. Lady Powell second and Arthur Hyman third. Aquiline showed the most early speed and clung on tenaciously all of the final quarter and would have won, anyhow, but for the interference. Lady Powell, in close quarters to the Mreich. got through in the last sixteenth and finished fast. Arthur Hyman ran well, but tired suddenly in the last sixteenth. Colored Lady followed the pacemakers closely throughout and finished fast. Mat tie Russell closed a gap in the stretch and finished like a shot. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. The latter, after many mishaps, came through fast in the last sixteenth, but tired suddenly at Ihe end. Huapala finished fast. Liberto ran well to the stretch and tired. Sidney F. trailed for the first half, then closed up fast and swung wide when entering the stretch, but rallied fast in the final sixteenth and finished like a shot. Ampedo, after seven furlongs of forward racing, tired badly. Dredger for six and quit. Lisaro short and will do ran a good race. Orilene showed superior speed furlongs was betUr. Nadzu, reserved for the t-t retch run, failed to make good when called upon and was tiring palpably in the last sixteenth. Elle laced forwardly to the final sixteenth, then fell away fast.
