Harriet Rowe, awav last, ran in close pursuit to the stretch and tired. Elizabeth Uarwood was awav poorly and ran a bail race. Plume was never a serious contender. Green tired in thr last furlong after a good display of early speed in pacemaklug to the stretch. Alice George ran a good race and would have been third in a few more strides. Honest followed Marbles closely for a half and was forced to go wide in the stretch, then outstayed the latter in the closing drive. Marbles had no mishaps, set a fast pace and tired fast in the stretch drive. Stoner Hill ran a good race before tiring. Lady Carol ran poorly and can do lietter. Severus went into a long lead soon after the start and. holding on well throughout, won gamely, although tiring slightly in the final furlong. Hostile Hyphen was kept out of forward contention too long, moved up fast in the stretch racing, but was tiring near the end and barely lasted long enough to save second place. Robert Cooper made several attempts to wear Severus down in the first three-quarters and tired in the stretch, only to come again with a rush in the last seventy yards. Stone Street had no mishaps.
