ANOTHER RESULT OF HUGHES COURSE. New York. October 19. Because of the passage of the Hart-Agnew bills the breeding bureau of the L Jockey Club may not be able to continue its work I in New York State another year. Fifty-live stallions are at present doing stud duty in thirty-nine different counties, and the reports of their keepers show that they have been liberally patronized by the breeders of their sections in 1908. This year the breeding bureau and metropolitan racing associations have offered 50 In special premiums through the agricultural Associations in each of the counties where breeding bureau stallions were jloing stud duty.
