COOK AND SCHREIBER HORSES AT OAKLAND. San Francisco. Cal.. October 21. Fred Cooks string, in charge of Frank Rector, and one carload of Barney Schreibers horses arrived today from the east in good condition despite delay caused by washouts in Arizona. The Cook horses include Lawrence P. Daley, Anna L. Daley. Missouri Lad, Johnnie Blake. Joe Nolan. Ida Hewitt. Andy Ginter. Appointment and three yearlings. Schreibers consignment included Joe Rose. Miss Highland. Sainister. Guy Fisher. Sainvoke. Cull Holland and four yearlings. G. M. Van Gorden has arrived from his ranch with Hannah Louise and two yearlings. Bliss Roberts, a chestnut filly, by General Roberts Playful, and Circle, a chestnut gelding by Cireus Velna. He also brought Orphan Boy. Dixon Delle and "Minorca, -which O. A. Bianchl will train for II. T. Griffin until the latters arrival from the east. L. Stock has bought Goldena from narry Stover and is negotiating for other horses. Frank Taylor got in from New York and tho horses that he was training for S. C. Hildrcth will be here tomorrow. In the car. which is in charge of W. H. Snence. are Ilildrcths Angelus. Schles-wig and Joe Madden: a yearling bay filly by Ogdcn Witful that J. E. Madden presented to Mrs. Hildrcth and Mrs. Taylor; W. H. Spcnces Coppers, and a yearling by Yellow Tall Honiton. belonging to P. Ryan. The latter recently sold noniton to Harry Payne Whitney for stud purposes for the reported price of ,000. John Lowe has turned Guiding Star back to Hildrcth.
