Tileing outbroke the others and set the pace easily to midway of the stretch, then began to tire and succumbed finally, but is extra good. Gretna Green ran in nearest pursuit to the last sixteenth, then tired and finished swerving badly. Brother Jonathan ran forwardly throughout in an inside forward position. Wise Mason ran in forward contention for a mile and tired. Arondaek, from a slow start, was shuffled to the rear on the first turn and closed a big gap in the middle quarter, but tired in the stretch. Gowan, away very badly, seemingly was anchored in the soft going. Esoteric liked the going, broke joorly. but outpaced the others to the stretch and tired in the last furlong. Burgher, decisively outpaced from the start, was gaining slowly at the end, but was never dangerous and ran a bad race. Belle Strome. after brief prominence, retired on the far turn.
