All Red had much the best of the start and was clear of interference, ran into a long lead in the first half, but tired near the end and barely lasted long enough. Dispute was always in closest pursuit and finished gaining. Roseburg II., showing improvement in the going, finished fast. She Wolf, away in a tangle, closed a big gap. Miss Crittenden closed a gap and had no mishaps. Zeola was prominent for a half. Christmas ran poorly and can do much better. Dr. Holzberg was shuffled back soon after the start and was sent into the lead in the first half, causing him to tiro badly near the end and ho just lasted long enough. Alice Baird set the early pace, but appeared thoroughly beaten after going live furlongs, then came again under strong urging and was wearing Dr. Holzberg down fast at the end. Buttons ran well, but ceased to bo a dangerous contender after going a half. Ray H. came from a long way back in the last quarter. Stowaway showed speed, but tired in the last half.
