ENCOURAGING HOT SPRINGS PROSPECT. Hot Springs. Ark.. October 29. There is a real hope of the resumption of racing here. Conditions have changed so that those who opposed it bitterly nt the time the Amis law was passed are now favorably disposed and as special legislation is permissible in this state, this local feeling may prevail with the legislature next winter. O. H. hnmpter. senator-elect from this district, says: "I have talked to many senators and to many members of the house, and I believe that they are now willing lhaf we should have racing at this resort. Our home people want racing now under "proper regulation. The restriction or regulation will be given the initiative in the Business Mens League November 10. and whatever strings the sentiment wants attached to the alteration of the Amis bill will be satisfactory. I have made my campaign openly for racing and a liberal policy. I will advocate whatever the Business Mens League wants advocated in that respect, and I believe the legislature will not shut the door of hope to a resort like Hot Springs."
