DEAL FOR SIR MARTIN UNDER WAY. There is a report around New York that Mr. Walter McCreery has made a tempting offer for J. E. Dladdens champion two-year-old. Sir Martin. Mr. McCreery is said to have an extensive racing stable abroad and would like to take Sir Martin to England with him. where he would be placed in the hands of Blackwcll, considered one of the best trainers on the English1 turf. Mr.- Madden has the offer under consideration, but whether he sells Sir Martin or not, he will send his crack two-year-old to England for the season of 1009. Madden said he would go with Sir Martin to England, but only to see him placed in the hands of a good trainer in the event that he Is not sold. "I have too many interests here to go abroad and race." said Mr. Madden. "I have 250 horses at my breeding farm. Hamburg Place, in Kentucky, besides a large stable of trotting horses. All this -would prevent the possibility of my remaining in England to race a stable continuously." Sir Martins three-year-old engagements in England were increased when Mi". Madden nominated him for the Dullingham Plate of a thousand sovereigns to bo run at Newmarket in the July meeting of 100!. Sir Martin is also in the Jockey Club Stakes and the Epsoin Derby.
