OAKLANDS FEATURE NEXT SATURDAY. The Sacramento Handicap, at one and one-sixteenth miles, with ,000 added, is set down for decision at Oakland next Saturday. Decemlier 19. The Sacramento Handicap closed with fiftv-four nominations, S. C. Ilildreth naming eleven: O. K. Kllison four: Fred Cook three, and T. IT. Williams two. The latter will probably start Firestone, which showed Monday by his defeat of the crack sprinter. Rosebcn. that lie has at last rounded into his best form. Ilildreth has all his crack racers eligible to Wtart, and no matter which one. or two. or more he may decide to start, his colore probably will not be far from the front at the finish. C It. Kllison will lie well represented by either Rural Tourist or Don Knriciue. while F. A. Forsythe "will no doubt hare the star of his stable, Porante. readv for action, and W. V. Fines fast three-year-old, Glorio. may face the barrier in this event. The track is in bad condition at present, but a change in the weather Iieforo Saturday may produce marked improvement in its condition, and necessarily a faster and keener contest may lie expected in the running of the Sacramento Handicap.
