Mitre steadily Improved his position. Caronia loomed up in the stretch, but tired finally. Hampton Beauty, in close quarters, had a bad start and closed a gap In the last half. Paladini ran forwardly and gamely throughout. Apto Oro, from an inside slow start, moved into quick forward pursuit, but was shuffled back at the half and never dangerous afterward. Gambrinus was crowded out early, but ran a bad race and was heavily bandaged all around. The winner was entered for 00: no bid. Collector Jessup ran in forward and persistent, but unmenaclng, pursuit throughout and outstayed Hanbridge In a hard stretch drive for second place. Hanbridge, forwardly placed from the start, tired unexpectedly right at the end. Fantastic was outpaced by the lirst three, but finished like a cyclone and is becoming good. Billy Pullman, from a slow start, dropped back in the inside deep going for six furlongs i.nd finished with a belated stretch rush. Be Thankful was prominent to the stretcli and quit badly. Gargantua ran in nearest pursuit to the stretch and quit very badly. Kel-owna was hopelesslv outpaced from start to finish. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Erbet broke slowly and closed up rapidly on the outside, loomed up menacingly midway of the stretch and quit badly finally. Traffic, away badly, trailed far back and closed a gap at the end.
