CRAWFURD PLATE WON BY HILLSIDE. London. F.ng.. April 14. — At the Newmarket Craven meeting today. Mr. H. 1*. Whitneys throe-jcar-old bay colt. Hillside, by Hamburg — Morningsidc. won tin- Cruwfuril date of 980 sovereigns at six furlongs over the Bret by Stakes course. Mr. J. B. Joels- four-year-old chestnut colt. Klmstead. was second and the six year-oil chestnut horse. Albert Hall, by Amphion — Altiertine. third. Kleven horses ran. The Ashley Plate for two-year-olds was won by Mr. J. H. Kings bay colt. Demosthenes, by Desmond Carlin. with Mr. J. T. Crossleys Belle of Belhus sei-ond and Mr. William Clarks Flinders third. Nineteen started, including i.Mr. Belmonts Boudoir and Mr. Whitneys Tyrconnel.
