LICENSES FOR CROSS-COUNTRY RIDERS. New York. The list will contain a number of applications from gentlemen riders as well as the professionals. E. C. Smith, racing secretary of some of the coming hunt meetings, will leave Los Angeles for the east Saturday. He will stop over for a day in New York to look after some hunt club matters before assuming his duties in the stand at Iiinlico.
