MEXICAN RACING NEXT THANKSGIVING. According to Custom. Sunday Will Be Used and the Courses Closed on Monday. Now York. April II. — Racing in Mexico will begin iiit Thanksgiving Day at Juarez when a ninety day molting will be inaugurated. Matt Winn is hero from the west. He has recently boon in the Citv of Mexico in tho interests of tho coming seasou of racing in the southern republic lie is enthusj astic over tlie pri spects for the sport across the border and said that the Juarez season would do much to educate the country to racing. Other tracks are either in contemplation or actual construct ion. and before long Ihe Mexican Joe-key Club will have an extensive circuit. Winn has tieen a much sought after man. and at Latonia. Louisville and Lexington lie was offered the management of meetings. r had to decline all three offers on account of his press of work witli tin-Mexican project and the coming meeting of the F.m-pire City Racing Association at Yonkers. As is the custom iu nearly all the countries ol F.urope. and in accord with the other amusements of Mexico, there will be Sunday racing at both Juarez and the City of Mexico. Racing will go on six days a week. Monday being omitted. The Chihuahua course has not yet been started. It will also race on Sunday.
