April 14. — In tho course of an Ill! rial appeal to the people of the bluogras.- region lo support the spring meeting of the Kentucky Rao ing Association which will open April L4. the Lexington Herald savs this morning: "We have not the slightest doubt that the storm Which has raged so severely aud with such dire effect during the past year, will ulliinately result in the Improvement, instead of the destruction of racing. It will bring Ihe aliolishincnt of abuses which caused popular indignation and will lead to racing being conducted uimiii as high a plane as it was when the toremost citizens of the south and east gave it their support."
