Ben Double, away in a tangle, closed a big gap and was going fast at the end. Irrigator ran Into a 1 i.iniuont position from a poor send-off. but tired in the stretch as if short. Isury ran |M orly. Girredear ran poorly. Conville showed high speed in paceinaking for three-quarters, but tired badly iu the stretch. St. Valentine was outpaced throughout. The winner was entered for 00: no bid.
