HORSES ARRIVING AT CHURCHILL DOWNS. Louisville. Ky.. April 2S Fifteen horses belonging to Barney Schrciber left Bridgetou. Mo., yesterday for Churchill Downs. J. W. Paulson has arrived at the Downs from California with ■ good lilly and Palo Alto, which won several races during the winter at Oakland. "Wink" Williams and Ed Trotter gol in from the coast in good condition. H. G. Bedwclls crack band of racers, which were Y.iiiipaignod in California last winter, will arrive at Churchill Downs on Thursday. Bedwcll has engaged fourteen stalls. W. P. Fine and Tom Shaw have informed Secretary Davis that several of their horses are eu route to Louisville from California. C. V. Mueller ft Co.. who wintered Bottles. Totter mid other horses at I.atonia. have arrived. V. Foy will ride for this stable. A. J. Gam is due from I.atonia with Transvaal. Match Me. Old Horn sty and Ccrlua. Charles latter-s.-u ia also coining from I.atonia with Kercheval. Care* and others. The horses formerly owned by Fred Cook, which now belong to Fred I.eppert. have reached Churchill Downs from California. In the shipment were Anna L. Daley. Johnnie Blake and Lawrence P. Daley. This one-time good performer may not race again. Jockey Lee is here training. After a long run yesterday he found that he had lost a couple of ounces. His weight is 110 pounds. It is his intention to get down to MS, at which weight he says he will be as good as erer. Lee will ride in the Derby, but he declines to indicate his mount.
