Busy broke with the leaders and dashed around on the outside, wore Baeebrook down in the stretch and won going away, finishing like a genuine stayer. Baeebrook showed much the most early asaed and will probably improve by this race. Fauntleroy met with much early interference and finished with great speed and courage. Zacatecas showed speed, but tired. The winner was entered for 1909.sh00: no bid. Overweights — Sparkling Wave. 2 pounds. Ouan-tico was taken back and followed the leaders until on the far turn, then moved up with a rush when entering the homestretch ami drew away into an easy lead at the end. Campaigner ran well and outstayed Lad of I.angden at the end. The latter ran on the outside of the leaders for the entire trip, covered more ground than any of those which beat hiin and would have been second in another stride. St. Joseph set a fast pace, but tailed to stay. Giles ran a fairlv good race. The winner was entered for : no bid. Boyal Cnyx dropped in behind De Mund and followed the latter until straightened out in the homestretch, then easae with a rash and drew away into an easy lead at the end. De Brand set a fast pace, but tired under his weight when the winner caught him. Live Wire closed a gap and finished fast. Pins and Needles came through next to the rail and. finishing with a rush, outstayed Juggler in tip- tinal drive. The latter moved up at the half -mile post, bu! was never troublesome and tired at the end. Bossfeataa has developed and tilled out since last season and will improve bv todays race.
