AMERICAN YEARLINGS IN IRELAND. Colonel W. Hall Walker, of Tully. Kildare. who bred and leased to King Edward the Derby winner. Minora, has two American yearlings at his place In Ireland with which he is highly pleased. They arc a bay and clicslnut colt by Adam, out of the mares Candle and Musette, bred at the Millstream SI ml in Kentucky. W. B. Gilpin paid Andrew Miller and Francis C. Binhop ,000 for them last fall about the time Adam was sent to France to be sold at auction. Colonel Walker has cut rather a conspicuous figure in British racing. He bred, developed and raced Polar Star, winner of several important races in England a few years back and subsequently sold for a small fortune. His Adam colts have been liberally engaged in two and three-year-old stakes to be run in England next year and in 1911. They will be broken in Kildare and shipped across the Irish Sea next fall to winter in the country in which they are to race.
