MORE SPRECKELS HORSES CHANGE HANDS. New York. June 10. — As the outcome of a fast work-out bv Charlie Hargrave. the Solitaire II. colt which he purchased from Ceorge W. Berry a few days ago. "Lucky Jack" Mcliiunis has made several additional purchases of two-year-olds from the same source. His latest acquisitions are Captain Suan-son. nrown coir by Solitaire II. — Saccliarisa: Madeline I... hay fillv, bv Solitaire II. — Sevens, and reuse. bay filly, by Mai Ins II.— Cattle Kate. Madeline L. is especially well thought of. being a half sister to the Burns Handicap and California Derby winner. Dr. I.eggo. • ;. W. Berry has also sold Palo Chiqaeto, a cheat-uut fillv bv Solitaire II.— Magdalcnas. to T. W. OBrien, and Helen Carroll, a chestnut filly by The Judge — Saccharate. to A. J. Blakeley. This disposes of all the horses he brought from California except Torbellino. which half-brother to Dr. Leggo has been gelded and turned over to A. I. Blakeley to he trained for A. B. Spreckels. Mr. Berry will leave for California tomorrow and will return in August with a big consignment of yearlings to be sold at Sheepsltead Bay.
