Beau Nash Disappoints His New Owner and the Public — Green Seal Wing Handicap and Moonraker Race for Canadian Horses. Hamilton. Ont., June 25. — The Walker Cup. one of the Hamilton Jockey Clubs oldes-t fixtures, the conditions of which call for starters to be the bona liele proiierty of resieleuts of the dominion, was provided as tlie principal attraction of an excellent program this afternoon. The Jrimsby Handicap and a mile and a sixtei-nth dash over the turf course were also featured. The evenly balam-ed card, which lie-Id out the pros| cct of keen sport, brought out a large- attendance- and speculation was exceedingly brisk. The usual afternoon showers fell, but the rain held off until after the running of tlie fourth race and lasted but a few moments. Then It cleared off again and the sixth race was ruu under bright skies. Favorites fared none too well, only two choices winning. Steve Lane in the steeplechase and Juggler in the race over the grass. Only four starters went to tlve post in the Walker Cup. but up to the tenth fence it was a stirring contest. At this point Banned and Al Powell fell heavily. Both were remounted and finished the course, bnt when the lioys that rode them weighed In they were found to be short of weight, so no third horse- was placed. Roseate reports were circulated about his speed, but when it came to the running he failed miserably. Jockey Musgrave rode three winners today — Plaudmore. Moonraker and Juggler. J. H. Madigan. president of the Niagara Racing" Association wired here this afternoon that accommodations have been reserved at Fbrt Erie for all horsemen who made application for stable room. The club went to great expense this spring In erecting several new stables so as to be in a position to accommodate all who might wish to participate iu tlie Fort Erie meeting. The news that there * plenty of stable room at the track was well received by the horsemen racing here.
