May Florence, from a flying start, ran in forward and persistent pursuit of the pacemaker and drew out in the stretch and outstayed the others decisively. Shamrock set the pace for a half mile before giving-way, was a game second and is very promising. Levengston was in striking distance from the start, although pocketed early, closed up well at the end and can do better. Captain Swanson, nearly left and on thp inside in close quarters, made up much ground in a fast, but belated, finish under a bad ride and probably was best. M. Cambon ran forwardly and gamely throughout. SJr Neddam showed early speed and was, well up at the end. Indot was gaining rapidly at the end. Rokeby, a good looker, finished well up. Billy Bodenier, away poorly, steadily improved his position and finished close up and going fast. Trois Temp, showed his usual early speed and quit badly. Tony Faust is not ready. Rialto, badly outpaced for the first half, loomed up on the inside midway of the stretch and mndo a game challenge. Bat Masterson trailed well up to the stretch and was gaining at the end. Follie Levy made the running by a wide gap for three furlongs, but quit in the final sixteenth. Calash, badly outrun to the stretch, finished like a cyclone. The latter, away slowly, trailed too far back and closed his usual big gap under a very bad ride. Golconda, nfter nearest and strenuous pursuit of the pacemaker for seven furlongs, failed to stay.
