THE MOHAWK SELLING STAKES - The Mohawk is one ot the minor stakes established when the Saratoga stakes list was reorganized in 1901 by the new owners ot the tracks It was intended to give owners ot three-year-olds of moderate class an opportunity to bring them into competition and subsequent sale, if so desired. It lias been productive of good racing and close finishes as a rule and has always been a popular event with owners. Its record to date is as follows: Year. First. Jockeys. Wt. Second. Wt. Third. Wt.
