: RECORD OF THE KENTUCKY STAKES One of our oldest stake races for two-year-olds, the Kentucky, is not of such importance as it was in its early history, when it was always contested by the crack youngsters of each recurring year. It was then for two-yearndds of all sexes, but, being discontinued in lS!Ki, was changed to a race for two-year-old fillies when it was revived in 1901 by .Mr. W. C. Whitney and his associates.
