DANNY MAKER TO BECOME TRAINER. London, Eng.. September 21. Danny Mahcr. the premier: jockey of the, world, today continued the report that this will be his last season on the turf as a -jockey. "There is no reason for any mystery in the matter." Mahcr said. "If I leave the ranks of the Jockevs it will be. I hope, with the good will of both those who are actively in racing and the public that Just goes to see a race. I have had a fair share of the rewards that come to a jockey and am bound up in the sport. But." and here the face of Maber assumed a serious aspect. "1 value my health mnqli more than I do anything else. I would be foolish not to recognize that I cannot forever fight against nature in the .matter of weight. Every year it is growing more difficult for me to keep down "to riding weight, and I dont propose to resort to measures that might prove injurious to my health; It is entirely probalile that at the end of the season 1 will hand in the-colors, but I will not leave the trirjTi, I shall try my hand at training. Just where I may locate I cannot now say. It may be here and it may bo in America."
