AMERICAN RACERS FAIL TO PLACE. London. Eng.. September 24. The Donnington Castle Maiden Two-Year-Old Plate or 300 sovereigns, distance live furlongs, was won at Newbury today by Mclntyre. Lester Ash was second anil Persuade third. Among the thirteen starters was J. R. Kcenes Metaphor. The Manton Nursery Handicap of 250 sovereigns, for two-year-olds, distance six furlongs, was won by Spanish Irince. Meridian was second and Adorn third. Among the twenty-seven starters were August Belmonts Aniical and J. R. Kcenes Lyndin. The Moderate Plate of 102 sovereigns, fin- three-year-olds and upward, distance one mile, was won by Sir Perigold. Maakara was second and the Chaffinch gelding third. Among the twelve starters was II. P. Whitneys Field Daisy. Paris. France. September 24. II. B. Duryeas Stillwater was third in the Prix Hudson River, run at Maisons-Latlitto today. W. K. Vanderbilts Kam-eses II. was third in the Prix Criteliuin. His Rein-hart also ran. The Prix Tage was won by T. P. Thomes 1leury II.
