HAMILTON MEETING OPENS TODAY. Hamilton, Ont.. September 27. The autumn meeting of the Hamilton Jockey Club begins tomorrow under conditions which warrant the prediction that it will be one of the most successful ever given by the club. The meeting will run for eleven days, then a shift will be made to Windsor and at the conclusion of the latter meeting the-. Canadian racing season will come, to, a close. The card tomor-row is made up of seven races, and has as features a steeplechase over the two-mile course, a race oyer the turf course, at a mile and a sixteenth, and the t Sandringhani Plate, at . a mile aud an eighth, in which Pinkola. Prince Ahmed, Green vSeal and Martin i Doyle are named to start. The track conditions could not be improved upon and if no ram falls between now and tomorrow the going will be exceedingly fast. The same set of oflicials that pro-sided I here last spring will bo here this fall. Joseph A. Murphv will act as presiding steward, J. J. Burke as associate judge and A. B. Dado as starter. I -Several stables came on from New York to participate in the racing, among them that of R. L. at-kins, . who brought five horses. The horses that Mrs. L A. Livingston raced at Montreal and lormito ; were shipped hack to New York this morning.
