CONDENSED HISTORY OF THE TEST HANDICAP i + Designed to brias out Die extreme of speed at a mile, the Test Handicap has justified its name in several notable performances. A few days subsequently Ori-mar ran a mile in the same time at our own Washington Park. It was also in the Test that, from a weight-carrying standpoint. Herniis ran the greatest mile recorded in American turf history when he defeated Itehlaiiie in HM4 in 1:3S. with 133 poqnda on his back.- The Test is oue of the few stakes run uninterruptedly at Brighton Beach from its establishment and its record is: Year.
